Rivers State Governor Commends Nigerian Army on Security Efforts

'The Nigerian Army Day Celebration provides another opportunity to strengthen public support, deepen civil-military relations, and execute community development projects across Rivers State,' he said. And he's not just talking about words, General Shaibu has been working behind the scenes to implement projects that will help build trust between the military and the community.

He mentioned that one such project was the renovation of community secondary schools and the provision of solar-powered boreholes to improve the welfare of host communities. And it's not just the Nigerian Army that's involved, General Shaibu emphasized the importance of collaboration with other security agencies and local communities.

'The Army recognises the indispensable role of the people in supporting our efforts to achieve national security objectives within a joint, multifaceted, and dynamic security environment,' he said.
