Eshowe High School community is in mourning after the death of its principal, Mr. Edward Curtis. The school made the announcement on its social media platforms on June 21, 2026.
Mr. Curtis was a devoted principal who spent more than 20 years serving the school. He was known for his unwavering commitment, wisdom, fairness, and integrity. In a statement, the school described him as 'far more than a principal; he was a mentor, a leader, a guide, and a steadfast source of strength for generations of learners, staff, parents, and old scholars.'\n\n
Mr. Curtis believed in the importance of education, not just for developing the mind but also for nurturing character. His faith in the Lord was the foundation of his leadership. He led with humility, compassion, service, and love.\n\n
