8 Nigerian, Foreign Workers to Get Easy Work Permits in Canada

Canada's Innovation Stream has just gotten a boost with eight new companies joining the Global Hypergrowth Project (GHP). These companies, which include tech giants Ada Support Inc. and AlayaCare, can now sponsor eligible foreign workers for LMIA-exempt work permits.

The companies are part of Canada's drive to help innovative businesses expand and attract top talent from all over the world. Ada Support Inc., for example, develops AI agents that help businesses manage customer service. They are hiring customer solutions consultants, senior demand generation managers, and engineers.

The Innovation Stream pilot has been extended to March 22, 2028, which means that more companies can participate in the GHP. And for Nigerians and other foreign professionals looking for work in Canada, this is good news. The programme will give them easier access to top companies and key positions.

But what kind of benefits do these companies offer? AlayaCare, a Montreal-headquartered health technology company, offers flexible vacation, health coverage, and career development opportunities. Clarius Mobile Health, a Vancouver-based medical technology company, offers flexible working arrangements and professional development funding.

Clio, a Canadian legal technology company based in Vancouver, offers equity for eligible employees, RRSP matching in Canada, and at least four weeks of paid time off. Lightspeed Commerce, a Montreal-based provider of point-of-sale and payment technology, offers flexible paid time off, remote work opportunities, and equity options.

CellCarta, a Montreal-based health and life sciences company, is also part of the programme. However, they are not currently hiring for regular positions in Canada.

Vive Crop Protection, a Mississauga-based agricultural technology company, uses its patented Allosperse Delivery Technology to help farmers improve efficiency and simplify applications. However, they only had US vacancies listed on their website at the time of publication.

Duchesnay Pharmaceutical Group, a Quebec-based pharmaceutical company focused on women's health and rare diseases, was not hiring at the time of publication.
