The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented certificates of return to winners of the June 20 by-elections in five states. PDP, however, retained the Rivers South-East Senatorial District seat.

APC's candidate, Danladi Envulu-anza, was declared winner of the Nasarawa North Senatorial by-election after securing 45,362 votes. In the Ekiti State governorship election, Governor Biodun Oyebanji was re-elected, becoming the first governor to be re-elected back-to-back in the state since 1999.
