Kaduna State has taken a major step towards improving tax compliance and accessibility for taxpayers. The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has approved the establishment of three new Area Revenue Offices within the Kaduna metropolis.

The initiative is designed to enhance voluntary tax compliance by improving accessibility, service delivery, and taxpayer convenience, in line with the business-friendly policies of the administration of Governor Uba Sani.

The approval was granted by the Executive Management Team under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Jerry Adams, as part of KADIRS’ strategic efforts to deepen tax administration, expand the tax net, and sustain the remarkable growth in internally generated revenue through efficient, technology-driven, and taxpayer-focused service delivery.

Announcing the appointments, the Executive Director, Corporate Services, Umar Sani, stated that the selected officers were chosen based on their professionalism, competence, dedication, and innovative approach to service. He expressed confidence that they would provide effective leadership and establish a solid foundation for the newly created area revenue offices.

The newly appointed area revenue officers and their respective office locations are: La’aitu Makama, Gonin Gora Area Revenue Office, located immediately after the Cooperative Bridge; Umar Magaji, Mando Area Revenue Office, located at the KASTLEA Complex, opposite the Nigerian Air Force, Mando Road; and Yashim Philip Luka, Millennium City Area Revenue Office, located at ZamZam Plaza, Millennium City, Kaduna.

With the establishment of the additional offices, the total number of KADIRS AROs across Kaduna has increased to 36.

KADIRS encourages taxpayers to take advantage of the newly established offices, which are intended to improve accessibility, strengthen taxpayer engagement, promote voluntary compliance, enhance revenue generation, and support efficient tax administration in line with Kaduna State’s economic development agenda.
