Sandbox Clinic brings specialized rehab care to Cebu with new Latitude Corporate Center branches

Cebuanos no longer have to fly to Manila for top-tier rehabilitation care. Sandbox Clinic Cebu and Sandbox Clinic Prime Cebu officially opened on June 7, 2026, at the 15th Floor of Latitude Corporate Center in Cebu City.

The grand opening drew healthcare professionals, partners, families, and community members. The event featured a curtain-drop ceremony unveiling the clinic's mascot, 'Boy,' which symbolizes the center's focus on pediatric care.

This is Sandbox Clinic's first expansion into the Visayas. Before this, patients from Cebu and nearby provinces had to travel to the clinic's branches in Metro Manila for specialized rehabilitation services.

The two new branches offer multidisciplinary care under one roof. Services include pediatric rehabilitation for children with developmental delays or disabilities, adult rehabilitation for conditions like stroke or injury recovery, and sports rehabilitation for athletes recovering from injuries.

Sandbox Clinic Prime Cebu focuses on intensive, one-on-one therapy sessions, while Sandbox Clinic Cebu provides a wider range of outpatient services. Both clinics are equipped with modern equipment and staffed by licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.

The Latitude Corporate Center location was chosen for its accessibility. The building is in the Cebu Business Park, a central area with easy access for patients coming from different parts of Cebu and neighboring islands like Bohol and Negros.

Dr. Maria Santos, medical director of Sandbox Clinic, said during the opening that the expansion was driven by high demand from Cebu-based patients who previously had to travel to Manila. She noted that the clinic aims to make specialized rehabilitation care more accessible and affordable for families in the region.

Sandbox Clinic has been operating in the Philippines for over a decade, with its first branch opening in Quezon City in 2014. The clinic has since expanded to other Metro Manila locations, including Makati and Taguig.

The Cebu branches are expected to serve hundreds of patients monthly. Appointments can be booked online or by calling the clinic directly. The opening also created jobs for local healthcare professionals, including therapists and support staff.

For Cebuanos, this means less travel time and lower costs for getting specialized care. Previously, a family might spend thousands of pesos on plane tickets and accommodation just for a single therapy session in Manila. Now, they can access similar services within their city.

The clinic's expansion also strengthens Cebu's healthcare infrastructure. The city has been growing as a medical hub, with several hospitals and specialty centers opening in recent years. Sandbox Clinic adds to that ecosystem, particularly in the rehabilitation niche.
