Thai health authorities have revealed that Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer Igho Ubiribo had undergone five penis enlargement procedures at a Bangkok clinic before his death. The Department of Health Service Support, part of Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health, made this disclosure on Tuesday following an inspection of the clinic where the 43-year-old received his last treatment.

Ubiribo, who was also known by the monikers “Tiny”, “Denisi”, and “Ego”, passed away in March after a penile filler procedure while on holiday with his wife. According to the clinic’s account to investigators, Ubiribo had been a regular patient since 2024, receiving a total of five injections aimed at enlarging his penis. His final procedure, involving 40cc of filler, took place on March 5, 2026.

The clinic stated that the doctor had recommended dividing the large volume of filler into two sessions, but Ubiribo preferred a single injection. The clinic also noted that they provided post-operative care instructions and followed up with the patient, who reportedly didn't mention any issues. Consent forms were reportedly signed by Ubiribo before each procedure.

On March 5, 2026, emergency services received a call from a private hospital in the Sukhumvit area requesting an ambulance for a patient who had lost consciousness. Ubiribo’s wife informed the medical team that he had just received a filler injection and had gone for a massage afterwards. Suspecting a blood clot, the hospital prepared for a high-speed CT scan with contrast dye, a procedure known as Computed Tomography Angiography, to create a 3D image of his blood vessels.

It was during this preparation that Ubiribo became unconscious and lost his pulse. Medical staff immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but it wasn't successful, confirming his death. This initial report prompted an investigation into the clinic on Rama 1 Road, Pathum Wan District, Bangkok, which began on September 7, 2026.

Authorities haven't yet announced any findings of malpractice against the clinic. The investigation is ongoing. The Director-General of the DHSS, Phuwadej Surakhot, stated that all facts and evidence would be gathered before the case is referred to Thailand’s Medical Council to rule on professional practice standards.

Ubiribo's death was previously linked to the cosmetic procedure by a UK coroner. Evidence presented at an inquest suggested that the treatment led to a fatal pulmonary embolism. PUNCH Online reported that approximately 40 millilitres of a mixture containing hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected into Ubiribo’s penis.

Following the injection, Ubiribo and his wife reportedly went for a massage at their hotel. There, he complained of chest pain and fainted twice. He was rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital. Doctors there suspected a pulmonary embolism and planned a CT scan. However, he lost consciousness before the scan could be completed.

Medical staff performed CPR for over 100 minutes without success. He died in the early hours of March 6, 2026. A subsequent postmortem examination found material consistent with the hyaluronic acid used in the penile filler procedure in his lungs.

Dr. Mobola Savage, an aesthetic medicine and dermatology physician, had previously warned about the risks associated with penile filler procedures. She highlighted on X that "non-surgical doesn't mean risk-free." She also noted that penile fillers are invasive medical procedures due to the highly vascular anatomy of the area.
