Kate Henshaw has finally addressed the intimacy scene that's got everyone talking in Netflix's Blood Sisters Season 2 — and she says it was all business.

The 54-year-old actress plays Uduak Ademola in the crime thriller, and her character shares a sex scene with Akin, played by Daniel Etim-Effiong. The moment has sparked fresh debate online, with many questioning why a married man like Etim-Effiong keeps getting cast in steamy roles.

But Henshaw, speaking during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo alongside fellow cast members, made it clear that nothing unprofessional happened on set.

"With the sex scenes. I had a conversation with Daniel, 'How far? Are you comfortable?' He said, 'No problem.'"

She added that her character was topless during the scene, but viewers never saw anything inappropriate because of how it was shot.

"My character was topless with him. But there aren't any viewers who see the bra because there's no way to cover it."

Henshaw described the 41-year-old actor as a thorough gentleman who never crossed a line.

"He didn't rise to the occasion. He's a good boy. Let me clear that outside. He's professional."

She also revealed a funny moment on set — she didn't know why people kept calling Etim-Effiong "Kizz Daniel." She had to ask, and they explained the nickname.

This isn't the first time Etim-Effiong's kissing scenes have caused a stir. Late last year, a clip from the movie Summer Rain — where he kissed actress Bolaji Ogunmola — went viral. Critics flooded social media, and his wife, media personality Toyosi, started trending. She silenced the noise by publicly giving her husband the green light to kiss as many actresses as his roles require.

Now, with Blood Sisters 2 out, the debate is back. But Etim-Effiong has already addressed it. In an interview on Channels Television's Rubbin' Minds, he said he prays before every intimate scene.

"I get all my inspiration from God; I go on my knees and pray before going on set and before every kiss scene."

He believes acting is a form of worship, referencing the Bible story of God placing Adam in the garden to tend it. The former engineer turned actor argues that the industry relies too heavily on one type of intimacy, but he stays grounded through faith.

Blood Sisters 2 was produced by EbonyLife Studios four years after the first season, backed by media entrepreneur Mo Abudu. It's become one of Netflix's most talked-about Nigerian originals. The series reunites Ini Dima-Okojie and Nancy Isime as Sarah Duru and Kemi Sanya, two women whose lives got tangled after a wedding-day tragedy. The cast also includes Kehinde Bankole, Gabriel Afolayan, Wale Ojo, Uche Jombo, Segun Arinze, Michelle Dede, and Mike Afolarin.

For now, Henshaw has done her part to clear the air: the scene was professional, the actor was a gentleman, and the controversy? That's just Nigerians doing what they do best — talking.
