A 27-year-old man, Solomon Onaola, has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old domestic worker in Omifon, Odigbo council area of Ondo State. The victim, who works as a domestic helper in the household of her guardian, went missing on several occasions without permission, which led to the initial report at the Odigbo Divisional Police Station.

According to Vanguard, a police source said that when the girl was questioned about where she usually went, she revealed that the suspect, Solomon Onaola, had been taking her to his late mother's residence in Omifon, where he allegedly engaged in unlawful sexual intercourse with her. DSP Jimoh Abayomi, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest, stating that an investigation is ongoing. He added that the victim has been placed under appropriate care and necessary steps are being taken in accordance with established procedures for cases involving alleged sexual offenses against minors.

In a separate incident, a 32-year-old suspected armed robber, Ogunmola Oluwasola, was arrested with a firearm and ammunition in Owo. The suspect was arrested by operatives of the Command's Anti-Kidnapping Squad during a stop-and-search operation. The recovered firearm and ammunition have been secured as exhibits, and the suspect's statement has been obtained. Abayomi stated that detectives are intensifying efforts to establish the source of the weapon, its intended use, and whether the suspect is connected to any robbery, kidnapping, or other criminal activities in the area.
