Stellenbosch FC's Ambitious Transfer Window

Stellenbosch FC has completed three more signings before the start of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season. The Winelands club announced the arrivals of George Matlou, Terrence Mashego, and Nathan Garrow. All three players strengthen different areas of the squad.

George Matlou, 28, joins Stellenbosch FC on a free transfer. The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder signed a long-term contract after leaving Amakhosi.

"George is a player we believe can add real value to our squad through his experience, technical ability, and understanding of the game," Stellenbosch FC CEO Rob Benadie said. "His pedigree speaks for itself, and we are naturally pleased that he has chosen to continue his career with Stellenbosch FC. We believe he can play an important role in helping us achieve our objectives this season."

Terrence Mashego also joins the club. The Bafana Bafana left-back arrives on a season-long loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.

"Terrence is a player who has competed at the highest level on both the domestic and international stages, and we believe he has the ability and quality to add significant value to our squad," Stellenbosch FC CEO Rob Benadie said.

The club also completed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Nathan Garrow from New Zealand side Auckland City. The goalkeeper will compete for a place in the first-team squad.

His arrival gives the club more depth between the posts. Stellenbosch FC CEO, Rob Benadie, said, "We are delighted to welcome Nathan to Stellenbosch FC. He is a talented young goalkeeper with outstanding potential, and his performances over the past year have demonstrated that he has the quality to succeed at a high level. "He has an incredibly bright future ahead of him, and we believe that he will benefit from the opportunities for growth that exist at the Club, while simultaneously helping to improve our goalkeeping department."
