MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Public Information Office (PIO) announced on Saturday that several roads in the city will be closed on June 21, Sunday, for the University of the Philippines Marathon and Pride Run.

According to the Manila PIO, road closures will be implemented in the following areas beginning at 1 a.m. on Sunday:
- Roxas Boulevard from the corner of United Nations Avenue to the Quirino Grandstand
- United Nations Avenue from the corner of Roxas Boulevard to the Quirino Grandstand
- P. Burgos from the corner of Mabini to Roxas Boulevard
- Mabini from the corner of P. Burgos to Roxas Boulevard
- P. Burgos from the corner of Mabini to Padre Burgos Street
- Padre Burgos from the corner of P. Burgos to Roxas Boulevard
The Manila PIO advised motorists to plan their travels ahead of time and take alternate routes.
The zipper lane is available for use for vehicles intending to proceed to different hotels within Quirino Grandstand.
Road closures will be implemented in the following areas from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. in connection with the Pride Run. These include:
- Roxas Boulevard from the corner of United Nations Avenue to the Quirino Grandstand
- United Nations Avenue from the corner of Roxas Boulevard to the Quirino Grandstand
Motorists are advised to be extra careful in their travel plans and to follow all instructions from traffic authorities.
The Manila Public Information Office (PIO) also said that the road closures will also affect some establishments and businesses in the area.
Some businesses in the area have already posted notices advising customers of the road closures.
