Kelechi Anosike, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State, has declared that the party is stronger and has been repositioned to win the 2027 governorship election. Anosike stated this on Wednesday in Umuahia during his first official homecoming to thank delegates for finding him “worthy to fly the party flag as the candidates in the next general election.” According to him, “PDP has found new energy in Kelechi Anosike. So it is a show of strength and faith in what we are doing, and also to tell the whole world that Abia PDP is strong, is vibrant, is united, and far more formidable. “PDP is the strongest, the most structured party in Abia State. There is no other party that has structure in all the wards, all the polling units. “PDP membership strength is strong and formidable. With such number, it is difficult to beat that party when they are united. So, PDP is stronger now. PDP is united and far more formidable.” Anosike, who described himself as a welfarist, said, “As a welfarist, we believe what the Bible says, that a labourer is entitled to his wages. So you owe no man nothing but your love.” He highlighted his plans for the state if elected governor to include industrial harmony, improved welfare for residents, the creation of the Abia Labour Global Opportunities Agency, “where we will develop the skills of Abia youths to fit into the international job market,” and the establishment of the Abia State Informal Sector Development Regulatory Agency to regulate the informal sector, certify youths and license them. Kelechi Anosike is a seasoned politician who has built a reputation as a dedicated public servant. With years of experience in governance and politics, Anosike has a unique understanding of the intricacies of the Abia State government. This is why he is confident that the PDP is stronger than ever, united and formidable, making it difficult for other parties to beat.

Anosike’s declaration of the PDP’s strength comes at a time when the party is gearing up for the 2027 governorship election. The election is expected to be fiercely contested, with various parties vying for power. However, with Anosike’s confidence in the party’s strength, the PDP is expected to be a force to be reckoned with. The party’s unity and structure are expected to give them an edge over their opponents, making it difficult for them to beat.

As the election draws closer, it remains to be seen how the other parties will react to Anosike’s declaration. Will they take the challenge and try to beat the PDP, or will they concede to their stronger opponent? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain – the PDP is stronger, united and formidable, making it difficult to beat.
