Oriyomi Hamzat, the popular Ibadan broadcaster and Accord Party governorship aspirant, says people are plotting to plant hard drugs inside his radio station and frame him for criminal activity — all as a pretext to seal or demolish Agidigbo FM.

Hamzat made the allegation in a video that's gone viral on social media. He didn't name the individuals behind the alleged scheme, and he didn't provide evidence. But he said recent events in Oyo State forced him to speak out.

"Some arrests and demolitions are already ongoing in Oyo State. I heard they wanted to plant hard drugs inside Agidigbo and pretend they brought an issue to the station," Hamzat said in the video.

He claimed that people had already been sent to the radio station under the guise of lodging complaints or seeking the media platform's help. Their real mission, he alleged, was to secretly plant illicit substances on the premises.

"We saw the people sent yesterday to carry out the plan, and we're still expecting others they intended to send," he added.

Hamzat also alleged a second plot: that individuals would be recruited, dressed in the yellow attire associated with the Accord Party, and used to commit crimes. The aim, he said, was to make it look like his supporters were behind the acts and tarnish his image.

"They also planned to dress some people in yellow clothes and claim they're my supporters after using them to commit crimes. The intention is to tarnish my image and create grounds for action against me," he alleged.

Agidigbo FM is one of Ibadan's most influential independent radio stations. Hamzat founded it and has used it to build a large following, especially among young people. He's also a governorship aspirant under the Accord Party for the upcoming Oyo State elections.

The allegations have sparked reactions on social media. Supporters and observers are calling for vigilance and urging authorities to investigate the claims. Neither the Oyo State government nor the police have commented publicly on the matter.

Hamzat's claims come amid a broader crackdown in Oyo State. The state government has recently intensified enforcement actions, including demolitions of structures deemed illegal and arrests linked to criminal activity. Hamzat appears to believe that his station could be a target.

For now, the broadcaster hasn't said whether he's reported the alleged plot to the police or any security agency. He hasn't presented any video or photographic evidence of the people he claims were sent to the station.

Agidigbo FM continues to broadcast normally. Hamzat has urged his supporters to remain calm but vigilant.
