EduSpots among 31 Organisations Selected for FIFA Global

EduSpots has been selected as one of 31 organisations worldwide to join the second cohort of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. The Fund supports community-based organisations that are expanding access to quality education and sport for children and young people in underserved communities.

The organisation is excited to partner with Global Citizen and FIFA over the coming year to strengthen community-led, inclusive and joyful learning across its nationwide network. Thanks to this support, EduSpots will train 100 community educators (“Catalysts”) through high-quality residential leadership academies, with a focus on inclusive teaching methodologies.

The organisation will also engage 10,000 learners (“Sparks”) in community-led clubs spanning early years education, digital literacy, STEM, environmental action and gender equity, supported by feedback and recognition systems through the EduSpots App. In addition, EduSpots will support 52 community-owned Spots to establish sports clubs, choosing from football, basketball, volleyball and table tennis, backed by local grant funding and ongoing mentoring.

The FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund is a global initiative aimed at expanding access to quality education and football for children in more than 200 communities worldwide. FIFA and Global Citizen launched the Fund to mobilise USD $100 million by the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.

### EduSpots’ Journey

EduSpots is a Ghanaian and UK-registered NGO advancing digitalised, community-led education through a growing network of community-owned learning hubs known as “Spots”. Its work is led by more than 400 local changemakers, known as Catalysts, who establish and manage Spots in their own communities while facilitating inclusive education clubs and developing as educational leaders.

In 2026, more than 10,000 learners of all ages will access Spots, benefiting from books, digital technology, locally relevant resources and future-ready learning opportunities. EduSpots combines community leadership with digital innovation through the EduSpots App and its unique WhatsApp for Learning model, enabling daily peer learning, collaboration and professional development across the network.
