A Federal High Court in Abuja has told Ihuoma Nneji, daughter of ABC Transport founder Frank Nneji, that she can't escape arrest.

Justice M.G. Umar dismissed her application to vacate the arrest warrant issued against her, ruling that the Nigeria Police Force can continue its investigation into allegations of cyberstalking, criminal defamation, and injurious falsehood.

The judge said the application lacked merit and refused to cancel the warrant. That means the police can still pick her up anytime.

Ms Nneji is the daughter of Frank Nneji, who built ABC Transport Plc into one of Nigeria's biggest long-distance transport companies. Her legal trouble started after a petition from Abuja lawyer Henry Uzochukwu.

Mr Uzochukwu accused her of cyberstalking, criminal defamation and injurious falsehood. The police, through the National Cybercrime Centre (NCCC), declared her wanted on April 16, 2025.

Ms Nneji says she only found out she was wanted through social media and news reports. She insists investigators never contacted her before putting her name on the wanted list.

According to her, the whole fight started because of a broken engagement. She says she ended the relationship and called off their wedding in August 2024. After that, things got messy — legal threats, public accusations, and a social media storm.

She has also filed a civil defamation suit against Mr Uzochukwu at the same court, accusing him of orchestrating online attacks against her reputation.

The case blew up even more in September 2024 when social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, got involved. He posted videos accusing Ms Nneji of trying to blackmail Mr Uzochukwu. She denied it.

Now, with the court ruling, the arrest warrant stands. The police can execute it anytime. Ms Nneji has been directed to submit herself to law enforcement to continue the investigation.

The police can now arrest Ms Nneji wherever they find her. The warrant from April 2025 remains active. If she is arrested, she will be taken in for questioning at the National Cybercrime Centre. From there, the case will either go to court or be resolved during investigation.

Her legal team could still file an appeal against the ruling. But for now, the court has given the police the green light to proceed.

Ihuoma Nneji isn't just any businesswoman — she is the daughter of Frank Nneji, founder of ABC Transport. ABC is one of Nigeria's most recognised transport companies, running intercity bus services across the country.

Henry Uzochukwu is an Abuja-based lawyer who filed the petition that triggered the police investigation. The dispute between him and Ms Nneji has been playing out in court and online for months.

VeryDarkMan, whose real name is Martins Vincent Otse, is a social media commentator known for weighing in on high-profile disputes. His involvement brought even more attention to the case.

  • Suit number: FHC/ABJ/CR/627/25
  • Warrant issued at request of Inspector-General of Police
  • Wedding called off in August 2024
  • Ms Nneji declared wanted on April 16, 2025
  • Allegations: cyberstalking, criminal defamation, injurious falsehood

For now, Ms Nneji remains free — but the warrant hanging over her head hasn't gone anywhere.
